Tequila Don Julio 1942 kicked off the big game weekend with a late-night black tie celebration at the Diageo Liquid Cellar. DJ Ruckus started off the night with a high energy set as guests enjoyed ultra-premium Don Julio 1942 neat or on the rocks along with other specialty Don Julio cocktails crafted by some of NYC’s best mixologists.
Notables in attendance included Nina Dobrev, J. Cole, Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Chung, Bryan Greenberg, Ryan Phillippe, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Naughty by Nature, Condola Rasha, Hannah Davis, Rosci Diaz, retired NFL star Tony Gonzalez, DJ Ruckus, DJ Politik.
Recently engaged couple Jamie Chung and Bryan Greenberg arrived shortly after the party kicked off at 11:42 pm and quickly headed to a VIP table. Jamie stunned in a white cutout top by MinkPink, black pants and brown suede booties and showed off her new dazzling rock.
Later in the evening DJ Politik took to the stage while Derek Jeter’s girlfriend Hannah Davis danced solo in the front row. Around 1:00 am Grammy nominated rapper J. Cole, arrived with an entourage of Dreamville faithfuls and headed to the VIP area to enjoy drinks, including from a custom engraved bottle of 1942 for a continued celebration of his birthday.
Getting into the celebratory spirit, J. Cole jumped on stage at 1:45am while DJ Politik was spinning and surprised guests with a four song performance featuring top hits including She Knows, Power Trip, Crooked Smile and Work Out. That Awkward Moment star Michael B. Jordan, was spotted dancing in his booth while J. Cole performed and later that evening was joined by friend and 1942 fan Ryan Phillippe.
Hot off a plane from filming Vampire Diaries in Atlanta, Nina Dobrev arrived at the party looking casual chic in a leather jacket and ripped jeans. Though she arrived later in the evening she got there just in time to take in a surprise performance by 90s Grammy award-winning hip hop trio Naughty by Nature who entertained the crowd with two of their most popular songs OPP and Hip Hop Hooray. Following the performance Naughty by Nature was seen making introductions to J. Cole and his entourage at J. Cole’s VIP table.
