rae 2Newly signed Ear Drumma Records, Rae Sremmurd has released their described banger, following in today’s hip-hop culture of prescribing and detailing requirements needed to indeed flex, i.e. gold bezel’s, “freak hoes,” lean consumption (“H20, lean, same thing”), etc. The young duo who was showcased at SXSW derives from Mississippi, although they do not fall directly inline with king of Mississippi’s rap scene David Banner’s hierarchy. They come with a different, perhaps refreshing flow that isn’t completely unique but certainly entertaining and a new voice out of Mississippi. Artists such as Pusha T have already voiced their want to appear on a remix of the hot summer track featuring as always excellent production from none other than Mike Will Made It, who seems he can master just about everything in music. Their youth clearly visible by both appearance and audible by their vocals, they are already entering the mainstream with this likely radio hit and club presence. Flexing is, to make a long story short, showing off. The moral of this southern story? Don’t show off around Rae Srummurd because they verbally detail how they offer more to flex upon than you. A project is set to drop soon.
