“I used to live my way, and now I’m going to die my way!” a depressed O.J. Simpson told a source for the National Enquirer. Simpson, who is in his 7th year of a thirty-three year sentence for armed robbery, assault and kidnapping, has reportedly been refusing food at the Lovelock Correctional Center in an attempt to end his life. This saddening news comes following his denial of an appeal at the tail of last year by Nevada judge, Linda Bell.

Simpson’s choice is apparently not a selfish one, as it could grant his four children — Sydney, 28; Arnelle, 45; Justin, 25; and Jason, 43 — access to his fortune.

Due to the ruling of the 1997 civil trial following his 1994 high-profile murder case, O.J was ordered to pay the Goldman family $33.5 million in damages — a debt he has only barely expended. While behind bars the troubled former football star has apparently amassed millions in his NFL pension, but it is largely unattainable by him, his family and the Goldmans. “He can’t give the kids his money while he’s alive without the Goldman family laying claim to it,” the insider told the Enquirer. “The only way OJ figures he can leave his kids the millions is to kill himself.”
