The 56th Grammys Awards aired live on Sunday, Jan. 26 from Los Angeles’ Staples Center and featured history making collaborations such as Stevie Wonder/Pharell/Nile Rogers and Madonna/Macklemore. But music’s biggest night didn’t end there. The Recording Academy hosted the official GRAMMY after party celebrating this year’s nominees and winners. Immediately after the awards show ended, guests headed next door to the Los Angeles Convention Center and into the roaring 1920s themed party. We felt like we were at a “Gatsby” event. We attended the party as guests of Degree Woman, one of the presenting sponsors of the event. Entertainers, acrobats, dancers, and floor to ceiling projections provided an interactive atmosphere. The party featured 5 buffet themed stations (New York Italian, Chicago Steakhouse, Atlantic City Boardwalk, Los Angeles Brown Derby, and San Francisco Chinatown) and cocktails like the Patron Guitar, Ultimat Music, and XO Cafe Story.
On the scene: Ciara Rocks Official Grammys After-Party Presented by Degree
GRAMMY winner (and a very pregnant) Ciara performed chart topping hits like “Goodies,” “1,2, Step” “Somebody Call the Doctor” and “Oh.” She looked flawless, dressed in all black, and sporting sunglasses while on stage. Boyz II Men almost performed later in the evening. Other notable attendees include: Christina Milian, Pauly D, DJ Michelle Pesce, and Neil Portnow (President/CEO of The Recording Academy).
