After suffering a crushing upset by the Atlanta Hawks in Game 1, the Indiana Pacers suited up to defend their home court in Game 2. The Pacers came into the game with a vengeance, Paul George dropped 27 points while pulling in 10 boards. If the Pacers’ stud can continue producing double-doubles, he should have no problem securing this series for his squad. A Pacers guard that often receives criticism for his skills on the defensive side of the ball came in clutch for the Indiana team. George Hill scored all 15 of his points in the second half, helping give the Pacers an extra push to beat the Hawks 101-85.
Paul George had his hands full tonight, dealing with Hawks powerhouses Jeff Teague and Paul Millsap. The Pacers did a substantially better job defending these two, Millsap finished with 19, while Teague only managed to put 14 points on the board. The first half of this game looked identical to the upset of Game 1. The Pacers made the proper adjustments at halftime and came out for a 31-13 run in the third quarter to secure the lead for Indiana.
