Alexander-EdwardsThe headline is not a joke–this really happened, it’s real life, and there are now three grown adults who have been charged with an assortment of charges, ranging from malicious wounding and child abuse to abduction.

The mom, 35-year-old Melissa Delp and her boyfriend, 32-year-old Daniel Janney, decided to let family friend Alexander Edwards, 20, babysit their two girls, who are both under the age of 13.

This wasn’t a good idea at all, but as you’ll see, it seems Delp & Janney aren’t that bright anyway.

According to the Associated Press, Edwards then decided to tattoo the girls using a home tattoo kit.

One of the tattoos was of the girl’s name, on her shoulder.

When Delp & Janney arrived home and saw the girls’ new body art, they allegedly used a heated razor blade to scrape the tattoos off.

That clearly didn’t end so well.

Major L.T. Guthrie of the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office told the Lynchburg News that the parental response “didn’t help the situation any.”

“It added more scarring,” he said.

Edwards was charged with abduction, malicious wounding, and child abuse.  Delp and Janney were charged with child abuse and malicious wounding.

Completely unbelievable.

Luckily for the girls, the owner of a local tattoo removal shop has offered to provide them with free tattoo removal.
