MOCA’s 35th Anniversary Gala took place on Saturday, March 29 at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA.

The evening also welcomed the museum’s new Director, Philippe Vergne, on the occasion of the opening of the exhibition Mike Kelley. Gala guests enjoyed a cocktail reception and preview of the highly anticipated Los Angeles homecoming retrospective Mike Kelley, the largest exhibition of the artist’s work to-date, and the first comprehensive survey since 1993, bringing together over 250 works from the 1970’s through 2012 at The Geffen Contemporary. A special gala dinner followed the reception.

Notable attendees included New MOCA Director Philippe Vergne, MOCA Gala Chairs Maurice Marciano, Lilly Tartikoff Karatz and Eli Broad, Honorary Chairs Maria Arena Bell, Peter M. Brant, Valérie Chapoulaud-Floquet, Larry Gagosian and Eugenio Lopez, and special guests Katy Perry, Tracee Ellis Ross, Dianna Agron, Fred Armisen, Haley Bennett, Gia Coppola, Jane Fonda, Liz Goldwyn, Isabel Lucas, Ryan Seacrest, Chloë Sevigny, Dita Von Teese, Pharrell Williams, Owen Wilson, Rachel Zoe, Dasha Zhukova and Roman Abramovich and guests from the worlds of art, design, architecture, music, fashion, and entertainment.
