Ok, you get it, right? Vile explained the gesture was meant to “ease the pain” of Detroit’s bankruptcy. Most news outlets seemed to get the statement. But as in life, there’s always at least one person in the room who takes forever to laugh at a clever joke, and local affiliate FOX 2 was that person.

The station decided to ask viewers on Facebook to help them out with the pun. When viewers broke down the fisting reference, the channel responded with, “Wow. Apparently, we’re a little naive.” Just a little.
