Scandalous!
Pink-Berry co-founder, Young Lee, got sentenced to 7 years in jail for beating up a homeless man. Lee was reportedly in a car with his fiancee and his family when a homeless man appeared at the car window, flashing an inappropriate tattoo to Lee. Lee came back hours later with another male and beat the homeless man with a tire iron. The panhandler suffered injuries including a broken arm and a concussion. Local bystanders witnessed the attack and wrote down Lee’s license plate number, reporting the crime. Lee tried to flee to his native Korea before he got busted at LAX at the airport. He was arrested and put in jail with no bond, with L.A. County Superior Court Judge declaring him as a threat to the community. Lee is no longer a part of Pinkberry and the company states that “While it would be inappropriate for us to speculate on the allegations in question, we can say without hesitation that Pinkberry values the communities we serve and stands against acts of violence of any kind, especially those involving the most vulnerable among us,”(via nydailynews.com).
