If it were ever an opportune time for the Brooklyn Nets to nab their 10th win of the season, tonight would be it. At 6-22, the Milwaukee Bucks currently have the worst record in the NBA and are 3-7 in their last 10 games.

After being blown out on Christmas 95-78 by the undermanned Chicago Bulls at Barclays Center, the Nets have played beneath their privilege so far this season.

“I’m even surprised with this season, how it’s played out,” said Nets guard Deron Williams. “It’s like a nightmare,” he said.

The Milwaukee Bucks are coming off of a 111-110 overtime loss to the Charlotte Bobcats on Monday. They have not won consecutive games this season. The Bobcats’ Kemba Walker scored seven of his 25 points in overtime as Charlotte came back from an 18-point deficit in the first half. The Bucks’ Brandon Knight ad 26 points and 14 assists.

Bucks center Larry Sanders is expected to return to the court tonight in Brooklyn. He’ll return less than two months after surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb sustained in a fight at a nightclub early in the season.

Following tonight’s game, the Nets will fly to Indiana and play the Pacers on Saturday night. They’ll be on the road through the New Year and will play the Spurs on New Years Eve followed by a matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday January 2.
