Pusha’s cool with his mentor and his nemesis being friends again

The past week can easily claim to be the most pacifying week we’ve seen in the genre for the past couple years. Despite working closely on major projects early on in Drake‘s career (Thank Me Later‘s “Show Me A Good Time”, “Best I Ever Had” music video), Kanye West & Drake were involved in what seemed like an obvious rift for the past 3 years. Chalking it up to just bad communication, Drake brought out Yeezy at his historic OVO Fest Monday night, squashing any rumors that the two were at odds. In less dramatic fashion, at a birthday celebration for music exec Chaka Pilgrim, Jay Z & Dame Dash were spotted laughing and posing together for pictures, and anyone who’s not well versed on the history of their relationship at this point must deliberately want it that way. In any case, Pusha T‘s involvement in the former predicament is pretty hands-on. Kanye has been his mentor for the past couple years, and he & Drake–which Common made a 3-way early last year–have shared subliminal diss shots for the better part of the last 2 years. He had this to say about the two hooking up in Toronto.
