Christopher Lee Rios who many know as Big Pun will always remain a beloved figures in the New York hip-hop scene. The rapper who was of Puerto Rican descent, was 28 years old and nearly 700 pounds when he died in White Plains, New York from a fatal heart attack.
Pun, who emerged from the underground hip hop scene in the Bronx was best known for “Don’t Wanna Be a Player,” a selection that appeared on his 1998 debut album, Capital Punishment.
During his musical career, he managed to be the first Latino solo emcee to attain a platinum album, which he received for Capital Punishment.
