Jungle City Studios in New York City was filled to capacity Monday night. As the finish line draws closer for Nelly, the album that has been in the works for the past few years is finally set to drop. The St. Louis rapper has been in the lab putting in work for his seventh studio album M.O.

Several artists were recruited to work on the album including Fabolous, Wiz Khalifa, Nelly Furtado, Trey Songz, Future and more. Nicki Minaj and Pharrell hopped on the notable single “Get Like Me” and Memphis rapper Yo Gotti lends a verse on “Ciroc & Simply Lemonade”.

The game has changed significantly since Nelly’s last studio album 5.0. Will his new M.O bring him back into the spotlight?

“He is an icon,” said Mike Baro of Universal Records. “The people are excited for Nelly’s comeback.”

The album drew several big names to the packed house including Toronto producer Boi-1da.

“Overall, it’s a good mixture,” said Boi-1da. “It’s about being with the time. Right now, it sounds like Nelly has a lot of what’s going on. It’s a nice mixture of it all.”

M.O. will be available everywhere September 30.
