Youngest founder of Sugar Hill Records dies
Hip-Hop moguls are mourning the death of 43-year-old Rhondo Robinson, son of Sylvia Robinson who founded Sugar Hill Records in 1979. According to the family’s spokesman Greg Walker, Robinson passed away early Tuesday morning at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in New Jersey due to multiple organ dysfunction syndrome. Robinson was not only the Vice President of Sugar Hill Records but he also had his own publishing company called Rich Kid Music. Following in his mother’s footsteps he handled the label’s music publishing and royalties. The family is in shock as they have lost the label’s youngest founder. We send sincere condolences to the Robinson family.
