Rick Ross Speaks on Recent Controversial Lyrics

Rozay Explains “She Ain’t Even Know It”

Even non Hip-Hop music oriented sites vocalized their passionate opinions on some particular bars from Rick Ross’ feature on Rocko’s “U.O.E.N.O” in which many accused Ross of glorifying date rape. From feminist writers to socially conscious platforms, all shared disappointment in Ross, and a petition was soon formed in demanding an apology from the chief of Maybach Music for his apparent insensitivity, especially in light of the Steubenville case and international issues with women’s rights and sexual assaults.

Ross had an interview with the station Q 93.3, and was asked to speak on the controversy circling his two sentence references to slipping molly in champagne and the result of an anesthetized woman. He didn’t exactly apologize, but instead briefly explained his intentions with that verse. He began his stance by regarding women as “the most precious gift to man”.
