As the countdown to Super Bowl XLVII continues, tomorrow’s games will determine which two NFL teams will square off on February 2nd. The first contender will be declared in the AFC Championship Game between the New England Patriots and the Denver Broncos. The quarterback match-up here between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning is in itself somewhat of a Super Bowl contest.
This game will mark the 15th time that the two face each other in their tenured careers. Brady is one of only two players in the league’s history to win both the NFL MVP and Super Bowl MVP awards multiple times while Manning’s four NFL MVP awards are also a league record. Yet records aside, this elite quarterback showdown has been owned by Brady’s Patriots who’ve won 10 of the last 14 meetings against a Manning-led team. But tomorrow will be the first time Brady goes up against Manning in Denver. Many believe this will be the last time they face off, suspecting that Manning may not have much time life in his career since returning to play this season with a surgically-repaired neck. The verdict is still out there but in case this is Manning’s final coin toss, this game will be nothing short of epic. Watch it live on CBS channel 2 at 3 p.m.
