Last night, the Roc was in the building for The EOS and Roc Nation presents Melanie Fiona featuring Bridget Kelly & Elijah Blake. The 5-city tour made its last stop at the Hudson Hotel in New York City.
Singer songwriter Ellijah Blake opened up the show with a few cuts off his EP titled Bijoux 22 that’s available to download now. Up next was the BK Bombshell herself Bridget Kelly who came out performing “Empire State of Mind,” letting the crowd know that New York is her home and how good it feels to be performing in NYC. She then went into “In the Morning” off her mixtape and had the crowd rocking to her Kendrick Lamar-assisted song “Street Dreamin’.” Although he was not there, her vocals alone were enough to keep the crowd rocking. She told the packed house that she was ready to bring back that real R&B and wanted to pay homage to someone she looks up to. She went on to sing Mary J. Blige’s “I’m Going Down” and sounded amazing. Bridget Kelly also performed a new song called “Addicted,” which will be available on her site for free on December 3. The Roc Nation beauty closed her set with the fan favorite “Special Delivery” and thanked NY for all the support. The final performance of the night was the Grammy winner Melanie Fiona who came out with so much energy. She performed a few songs from her albums including “Give it to me Right” “Watch Me Work” and “Ay Yo.” Ms. Fiona took the crowd on a journey through love as she sang her ballad “It Kills Me” and her island inspired “Somebody Come Get Me.” Continuing with the island vibe, she had the crowd rock out ‘soca style’ as the band played. The 2x Grammy winner also covered Wale & Tiara Thomas’s song “Bad” and Drake’s “Started From the Bottom” as she does on her YouTube channel. The headliner blessed the crowd with her new single “Cold Piece” and closed the show with a strong vocal performance of “Gone and Never Coming Back.”
If you missed these acts on this tour make sure you see them the next time they’re in your city.
