Despite the disciplinary issues that resulted in transfers in both high school and college, the Houston Rockets drafted Royce White, a versatile and talented 6-8, 260 pound forward from Iowa State with their 16th pick in the 2012 NBA Draft. They also drafted him knowing that White is afflicted with anxiety disorder.

Even with that acknowledged anxiety disorder that would make it challenging for White to play a full NBA season, Rockets general manager Daryl Morey still selected him. And while that selection hasn’t worked out (Royce White is currently not in the NBA); it boggles my mind why Morey would call Royce White the worse first round pick… ever, especially when it would so easy to compile a list of more deserving candidates.
