It’s about time. Hip-Hop legends Run-D.M.C. and the Sugarhill Gang have finally earned their place in the Grammy Hall of Fame. Since it’s debut over two decades ago, the Queens trio’s breakthrough hit with Aerosmith “Walk This Way” was included amongst 27 other hits that were inducted as the class of 2014.
Along with Run-D.M.C., another veteran Hip-Hop trio also received the coveted honor. The Sugarhill Gang’s smash hit “Rapper’s Delight” was also included in the list of inductees. Both iconic hits will have their spots permanently solidified into the Grammy Museum at L.A. Live along with other music icons like James Brown, Ray Charles and Marvin Gaye. Congratulations to both trios for their monumental achievement!
