Finally!
ScHoolboy Q‘s debut album, Oxymoron, has been teased with lead singles, music videos, and tweets from him and his camp, but today, the LP has finally been given a release date, courtesy of the ingenius of ScHoolboy Q’s daughter:
February 25th, 2014.
That is the day Q’s much-anticipated release, Oxymoron, will hit shelves, and with good kid, m.A.A.d. city going platinum earlier this year, ScHoolboy’s got a tough act to follow. In numerous interviews and press appearances ScHoolboy admitted he felt he had no choice but to create a classic album given the success of his brethren Kendrick’s debut, which left such a longing impact on pop culture the Grammys nominated it for Album of the Year for their 56th annual ceremony. Despite the buzz of “Yay Yay”, and “Collard Greens”, both of which were released earlier this year, Oxymoron was never given a confirmed release date, despite rumors of a 4th quarter drop. Now, with both “Bangerr” and “Man of the Year” circulating the internet airwaves, and undoubtedly more heat coming, its TDE’s turn up to bat yet again, and chances are, Oxymoron delivers. Watch the heart-warming video of Q and his daughter drumming up a release date for ScHoolboy’s debut.
