The Secretary of Education dropped 20 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. Let that sink in….
With a stat line that rivals a regular day at the office for some NBA All-Stars, the US Secretary of Education stepped out of his office on Capital Hill and laced up his basketball kicks.
This was without a doubt the best all-around performance in Celebrity All-Star game history. Arne Duncan dominated the game with 20 points, 11 rebounds and six assists and led his East team to a 60-56 victory over the West squad. The Secretary of Education was getting buckets in the paint, knocking down step back jumpers, and dropped no look dimes to his teammates as he was four assists shy of a triple double.
In a surprisingly competitive and very spirited contest, Duncan showed out in the Celebrity All-Star Game and won the coveted MVP award. The award was given to Duncan by two-time Celebrity Game MVP Kevin Hart, who in a humble gesture insisted that the award be given to the Secretary of Education because of his spectacular performance. The fans voted the Hart the winner, but the comedian had a tough game with only seven points and four assists.
I had a great time–and a great team–at #SprintCeleb game. Thx for all the support. Keep cheering for education! pic.twitter.com/ky1qpxGXUk

Duncan has been the Secretary of Education since he was appointed to the position in 2009 by President Barack Obama. While handling reform and numerous initiatives as the education leader, Duncan has consistently assisted in securing congressional support for President Obama’s investments in education.
Michael B. Jordan also had a great game with 16 points for the West team. Check out the Secretary of Education’s highlights as he takes all of his celebrity peers to school and the footage of the MVP presentation.
