JCole

Roc Nation artist J.Cole is proving  he is indeed that dude.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, the North Carolina emcee dropped the visual for his third single “She Knows” from his sophomore album “Born Sinner.” The Amber Coffman and Cults assisted song is a confession in which Cole comes clean about his inability to remain faithful to his longtime girlfriend.

If we know anything about Cole, its he uses his music videos to tell stories oftentimes, to showcase unforeseen, endings that leave you surprised, and “She Knows” is no different. In honor of Cole’s intellect (he did graduate from St. Johns University with a 3.7 GPA) we’re going to highlight his videos that left us with our jaws on the ground, pensive or plain “Damn, homie!”

J. Cole Feat. Miguel-  ”Power Trip”

Concept: Cole goes to extreme measures to win the love and affection of a woman already in a relationship.

Why The Video Rocked: As opposed to having your run-of-the mill performance video, we saw Cole fawn over a woman who was already taken, and our mouths dropped when we learned he killed Miguel in order to get closer to her.

J. Cole Feat. TLC – “Crooked Smile”

Concept: Cole enjoys a family day equipped with a birthday celebration, only to have his day tragically ruined by law enforcement.

Why This Video Rocked: Instead of making a video to showcase the importance of self-love, Cole shed light on the dangers of police efforts trying to stop the selling and purchasing of drugs by demonstrating the death of 7-year-old Aiyana Stanley-Jones who died in a police raid in Detroit.

J. Cole Feat. Amber Coffman and Cults – “She Knows”

Concept: A teenage boy and his friend skip school, but his fun filled day is brought to an abrupt end when he learns of a parent’s infidelity.

Why This Video Rocks: “She Knows” is about Cole’s girlfriend being aware of his cheating ways. But Cole flips it and now the teenage boy is aware of his mother’s infidelity, which causes tension in the house.
