You know how every few years or so, there’s that one special female songstress that comes out and blows everyone out of the water? Hailing from Rhode Island, Mapei may be just that. Thanks to my good friends over at Buzzfeed and TheFreshHeir, I was introduced to the Swedish singer-songwriter not too far into her musical journey. Though she has been around since 2009, she has yet to full break into the mainstream blog-o-sphere and boy does she deserve it. Her new single, Don’t Wait, features a verse from Chicago’s Chance The Rapper and carries beautifully throughout. The pair accentuate each other in a very harmonious way and the beat rides beautifully alongside. Stream the single below and DEFINITELY be on the lookout for more from this future superstar, Mapei.
