This weekend, Nike will be dropping their Doernbecher Collection which features a handful of Nike favorites. A first for the Doernbecher Collection will be the Foamposite One which was designed by Elijah Diggins. It features a challenge red and black colorway.  Elijah also designed his own smiley face logo when viewed sideways it reveals his initials.

The fire design is a tribute to Elijah’s favorite basketball player Lebron James. The tongue features a Japanese character which means courage with Elijah’s signature.  And top off the design a chain link design on the shoes sockliner represents a silver bracelet that was gifted to him from his parents when Elijah started his chemotherapy.

Don’t look for these to stay on store shelves as the Doernbecher Collection is a exclusive release from Nike and will be released at selected Nike retail outlets.
