Nike teased the sneaker world with the first collaboration between Nike SB and Jordan Brand. The two brands decided to use the Air Jordan one silhouette, and then bring in multimedia artist and specialist Craig Stecyk to apply the finish touches with his signature tribal designs which features casting and spray paint.
The upper features a green-and black “AJ One SB” logo etched on the shoes heel done in a typeface design also done by Stecyk which was featured in a skateboarding magazine in 1982. The same design will also be featured inside in the sneaker’s insole.
The Jordan One was designed for Michael Jordan as a full fledge basketball shoe, however the skate community took a liking to the shoe and made it their unofficial skate sneaker. Fans of the Jordan One and SB sneakers will have three different releases with the help of Craig Stecyk and Lance Mountain.
Look for the release on nike.com on March 15.
