The OG has spoken. In GQ’scover story of Kendrick Lamar, comparisons to Suge Knight‘s Death Row Records were used to describe Top Dawg Entertainment as the label climbs to the top with the success of their all-star players Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, and more. However, one of Death Row’s original all-stars is clearing the air.

In a recent interview with VIBE, Snoopzilla was asked if he thought the California-based label was the new Death Row. “No, they’re not the new Death Row,” Snoop responded, “because TDE did it completely different than Death Row did it. Death Row did it with a gangsta approach.”
