Today, it was announced that Snoop Dogg will be lending his voice as the character “Smoove Move” in the upcoming DreamWorks Animation SKG film, “Turbo,” a high-velocity 3D comedy about a snail (“Turbo” played by Ryan Reynolds) who dares to dream big and fast.
Releasing July 17th, Snoop will join an all-star cast that includes Paul Giamatti, Samuel L. Jackson, Michelle Rodriguez, Ken Jeong, Maya Rudolph, Michael Pena and more. True to Snoop’s persona, his character “Smoove Move” is the smoothest snail around. As a super-cool low rider snail, Smoove has a unique perspective on the craziest twists and turns triggered by Turbo’s adventures throughout the movie.
From the makers of “Madagascar” and “Kung Fu Panda,” “Turbo” is a high-velocity 3D comedy about a snail who dares to dream big – and fast. After a freak accident infuses him with the power of super-speed, “Turbo” kicks into overdrive and embarks on an extraordinary journey to achieve the seemingly impossible: competing in the world’s fastest race, the Indianapolis 500. With the help of his tricked-out streetwise snail crew, this ultimate underdog puts his heart and shell on the line to prove that no dream is too big, and no dreamer too small.
