Tell your fans about Savage Life 4 and who are some of the features?
I really don’t have any features on this album, but I’m just ready for it to come out and let the fans hear what I would’ve been working on.
How do you feel about the current Southern movement?
I like the movement thus far. I’m really feeling everybody right now in the South. I think everyone is brining something different to the game.
How has Lil Phat’s death affected you?
His death affected me hard because he was my brother, and we would’ve done anything for each other. It was really devastating to hear about his death. I’ll never forget the day, when one of my friends ran into the house and told me that Phat was killed. It was hard for me to give my condolences to his family.
Since Lil Boosie is in prison, do you still talk to him?
I still talk to Boosie and I hope nothing but the best for him. Boosie is the person that gave me my start and I will always appreciate that.
How do you feel about New York rappers using the Southern influence in their music?
I think that everybody should be themselves. Don’t get me wrong, I like NY rappers, but I think that they should keep that original sound that made them.
What advice would you give those that want to pursue a career in the music industry?
The advice that I would want to give to those that want to pursue a career in music is, don’t let anybody tell you can’t do it, and stay in school. I really wish that I ‘d stayed in school. I still continue to visit my old high school and see some of my old teachers.
