Today is National HIV Testing Day! Know your status!

In a SourceTV Exclusive, the lovely Keri Hilson stopped by The Source headquarters to help spread awareness and express the importance of National HIV Testing Day. According to the CDC, 1.2 Million people have HIV and 20% are unaware that they are infected.

Keri’s involvement with OraSure and Reed For Hope Foundation stems from her dedication to live a healthy lifestyle and stay fully aware of her status as an woman. One statistic that hit hard with the R&B artist is that HIV & AIDS is the number one killer in African American women from age 16-34.

While spreading awareness, Ms. Hilson shared information about OraQuick, an in-home HIV test that people can use to find out their status. OraQuick is the same test that is used by healthcare professionals and provide results in just 20 minutes.
