FIJI Water Presents A Special New York Screening of Columbia Pictures' "This Is The End"
This week, FIJI Water and SVEDKA Vodka presented a special New York screening of Columbia Pictures’ “This is the End” at Landmark Sunshine Theater, which is now playing.

From the film: Star/screenwriter/director/producer Seth Rogen, Aziz Ansari, co-writer/director/producer Evan Goldberg, producer James Weaver and Kristine “K Flay” Flaherty (soundtrack) all walked the red carpet.

Additional guests in attendance included Edward Norton, Judah Friedlander, Theophilus London, Terry Richardson, Jorma Taccone, Hannibal Buress, Monique Coleman, Britne Oldford, Gabourey Sidibe, Tashiana Washington and Eric West.

In addition to starring in the film, Seth and his co-director Evan Goldberg executive produced the film’s soundtrack.

The “This is the End” soundtrack features a lot of hip-hop artists. How involved with you with that?

Seth: Very involved. I’m a huge hip-hop fan. It’s cool when I look at it because we didn’t set out to do that, but then we had KRS-ONE on there, and Snoop Lion, J-Kwon and Cypress Hills. It’s all sh*t we loved up, so I’m psyched about it.

Evan: Yeah, Seth and I are big hip-hop fans. We always have been. I was raised on De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, and The Roots and obviously, most west coast stuff. Me and my wife just realized, coming from Vancouver, Canada, that I did not know Jay-Z well at all as a kid. Seth and I just realized this. We’re from the West Coast and Canada, I missed out on the whole Jay-Z thing. We were listening to Snoop and Dre, and such in those days. But Seth and I were super-involved in making the soundtrack to the movie. We personally chose KRS-ONE, J-Kwon. We asked Craig if he wanted to do the thing with Snoop (which is obviously all of us just trying to live out a fantasy, which we got, and it was the f*cking best thing ever); Whitney Houston, I still can’t believe that happened, that just seems crazy.

Where you there for the Craig Robinson Snoop Lion collaboration?

Seth: I was, actually, you don’t miss that! I made sure I was there.

Did you get to ad lib a few verses on the song?

Seth: They did record me a bit, but I got cut out. Thank God! It was not that good.

Is there a particular favorite song on the soundtrack that you like?

Evan: The fact that we got KRS-ONE on there tickles me pretty good. The Backstreet Boys being in there really makes me laugh. The fact that we got a Backstreet Boys song just kills me.

Who is least likely to survive in a real apocalypse?

Evan: Could be James Franco, actually. I never said this before, but now that I think about it: he could paint, write, teach, and direct film things but can he cook, or clean, grow food? I’m going to go with Franco. This is a realization. I used to go with Jay, because he’s the smallest, but now I’m going with Franco.
