Tinashe Kachingwe‘s newest mixtape, Black Water, proves that she’s the baddest Disney princess on the block.

If Princess Jasmine smoked more hookah on her magic carpet, her mixtape would sound like Tinashe. Tinashe’s vocals are mellow and trill, with hipster sensibilities and a ghetto goth vibe. The trippy slow jam, Vulnerable, off of her newest mixtape, features Travi$ Scott. With its perfect beat over a tight hook, it  is an example of her soft yet sensual vocals that sound like a Sade sample. Since all her tracks are slow jams, the Travi$ Scott verse from Vulnerable is a nice contrast to her mellow sound. Black Water is a memorable mellow mixtape worth listening to. Key tracks off Tinashe’s soulful swag mixtape are: “1 for Me”, “Vulnerable” feat. Travi$ Scott, and “Stunt”. Using a five star scale, Black Water gets three stars.
