Just in case you’ve been living under a rock, Kendrick Lamar’s verse on Big Sean’s ”Control” had the internet in a frenzy earlier today.  The line that really caught listeners attention  ”I’m important like the pope, I’m a Muslim on pork, I’m Makaveli’s offspring, I’m the king of New York.” Kendrick put all east-coast rappers on attention that he was coming for the crown.   Everyone had their own opinion on K. Dot‘s verse, which included Joe Budden and former Ruff Ryder artist Style’s P.

Joe took a dig at Styles when he tweeted the following:

Joe’s response to the Ghost was maybe he should have responded to Kendicks verse. (This tweet has since been deleted.)

@therealstylesp he called out everybody. U included.

Styles responded to Joe’s threat  claiming he never called  any other emcees the “King of NY”

To stop the beef from escalating, Joe asked Styles to reach out to him. (This tweet has since been deleted.)

@therealstylesp u sound mad about something… u know my #, type the threats to a nigga that give a fuck.

— Joe Budden (@JoeBudden) August 13, 2013

Styles then questioned the nature of their relationship since the two once collaborated on a song together.

Styles proceeded on saying he’s not looking for physical beef with Joe Budden but if needed it could happen.
