The Seattle Seahawks made history last night winning the franchise’s first NFL championship but history was made in more than one way.
Super Bowl XLVIII became the first NFL Championship to be broadcast live in Spanish. In the past, fans watching the Super Bowl could tune in and watch in Spanish via SAP but this time around was a little different.
Thanks to Fox, fans were able to watch the 2014 Super Bowl as a single program broadcast in Spanish without having to hit a button.
“Being the first U.S. Spanish-language network to broadcast the Super Bowl is a testament to our continuous efforts to strengthen our programming, and further solidify FOX Deportes as the leader in the Latino sports space,” Jeff Krolik, the President of FOX Sports Regional Networks said. “We are extremely pleased about our new agreement with the NFL.”
