Super Fi Emporium Celebrates Grand Opening With A Commitment To Address Obesity, Employment, And Gun And Gang Violence In Harlem And NYC.
This “Socially Responsible” Business Is More Than Just A Supermarket!
By Charles Fisher and Randy Fisher @HHSYC
It’s been a long wait but Super Fi Emporium will celebrate their official Grand Opening on Wednesday, July 24, 2013. There will be a press conference at 11AM and the Ribbon Cutting at 12PM. This hot new upscale supermarket in East Harlem will be working with the Hip-Hop Summit Youth Council (HHSYC), Elected Officials, the private sector and a host of community groups to implement multiple programs addressing: unemployment; entrepreneurship; poverty; obesity; illiteracy and gun and gang violence.
The HHSYC has been in discussions with the Supermarket for over 14 months and are excited about the many opportunities they will bring to socially empower the community. During these tough economic times it is rare to find a business that is committed to addressing a host of social issues that affect the quality of life in the community.
Super Fi Emporium wants you to know they are more than just a Supermarket and will be more socially active then any Supermarket in NYC. They are stepping up to the plate and using their influence, faculty, and resources to make East Harlem and NY a healthier and better city. Obesity prevention is at the top of the list because as a supermarket they truly believe that diet, exercise, eating the right foods and good health are the keys to wealth and longevity. All activities are FREE through their hot “Fidelity Card Program.” For more info on the Grand Opening and the social services they will be offering the community you can check out the flyer or hit us up at: hiphopsyc@aol.com.
It’s time for local businesses and national corporations to do more to empower the residents in the community. We commend Super Fi Emporium for being a trailblazer in this effort.
