Hip hop kings will grace SXSW stage Wednesday
The Watch the Throne duo Kanye West and Jay-Z have been announced by Samsung to be the opening act of the tech company’s SXSW four-day concert series that is starting this Wednesday night. The two haven’t been on stage together in two years and are sure to run the night with an array of plenty hits both collaboratively and separately. This will also be Kanye’s first performance since he’s joined Roc Nation. Their set is sure to have the social media world buzzing.
To bring things back to the tech side of things, keep in mind this isn’t the first time that Jay-Z has had his name tied to the Samsung company. They’re the ones that gave out 1 million copies of Magna Carta Holy Grail purchased for $5 each exclusively to Galaxy holders. Remember? Samsung is planning to give out concert wristbands exclusively to owners of Galaxy devices that have downloaded the new radio service app Milk Music. Wristbands can be picked up at the Galaxy Experience pop-up location at 2nd Street and Trinity Street starting Tuesday at 10 a.m. Cop those tickets if you haven’t already!
