If you follow basketball, then March means one thing to you: the NCAA Basketball Tournament. Easily one of the most exciting times in sports, the 64 teams provide weeks of entertainment, as the battle for a coveted spot in the final four. Normally, it takes milliseconds for aficionados to hear the final seeds and draw up their brackets, predicting who is going to win or how far their favorite team will reach. However, if that describes you, this year, you might want to take some time to think it through and to do some research.

Warren Buffett and partner Dan Gilbert’s Quicken Loans, have stated that they are offering $1 billion to whomever fills out a perfect bracket. Before you get too excited, remember that you face over a 9.2 quintillion to 1 odds, which make it almost to great to top. The prize will be paid out in 40 annual installments of $25 million or one $500 million lump sum.

The two stated:

“It is our mission to create amazing experiences for our clients. This contest, with the possibility of creating a billionaire, definitely fits that bill,” Jay Farner, President and Chief Marketing Officer of Quicken Loans said in a statement. He added: “We’ve seen a lot of contests offering a million dollars for putting together a good bracket, which got us thinking, what is the perfect bracket worth? We decided a billion dollars seems right for such an impressive feat.”

Good luck, let us know if you win..
