And they currently only have 6 members.
Whether it was a hyperbolic response to the media’s jabs at TDE’s quiet year or concrete information, Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith let loose with an interesting tidbit of information on Twitter today. According to him, he’s putting out 6 albums next year, which, considering TDE consists of only 6 artists, would mean that every single one would be putting out an LP. That includes ScHoolboy Q‘s debut, Oxymoron, which is already slated for February 25, Kendrick‘s sophomore album, Ab-Soul‘s follow-up to Control System, Jay Rock‘s first album since 2011′s Follow Me Home, SZA‘s official TDE debut longplayer and Isaiah Rashad’s Cilvia, which was supposed to release this month but appears to have suffered a push back.
