Shocking video of 14 year old being manhandled by police for alleged inappropriate body language

Disturbing cell phone footage has surfaced showing a brutal attack upon a 14 year old holding a puppy by Miami-Dade police officers on Haulover Beach during the Memorial Day weekend. The family says they only want what’s due. Justice.

The police claim that they had to “neutralize” the teenager because he was giving them “dehumanizing stares” and resisted the officers by pulling away from their grasp and resisting their orders. He has been charged with a felony, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.

Miami Detective Alvaro Zabaleta told local news station CBS4 that officers observed the 14 year old slam another teenager in the sand.

“They told him that behavior was unacceptable. He walked away and officers followed him”, said Zabaleta. “They asked where his parents were. He said that he was not going to take them to them. When he started to leave the beach area, officers had to get off their ATVs to detain him. He had closed arms, clenched fists, and pulled his arm away. Once he was approaching the road, the officers restrained him. Again, his body language was that he was stiffening up and pulling away. Now, you’re resisting officers at that point. At that point, he had go to be taken into custody. Of course, we had to neutralize the threat.”

“How could I be clenching my fists when I was taking care of my puppy and giving him some milk in a bottle?”, inquired a frustrated Tremaine McMillian. His mother says, “That police report was not accurate.”

At that point, we’re not concerned about a puppy”, says Zabaleta when asked about McMillian’s puppy, affectionately named “Polo”. “We are concerned about the threat to the officer.

This case is similar to the Trayvon Martin because it exposes the level of force allowed upon minority juveniles in the state of Florida. Also, there initials just so happened to be the same. The Martin trial is scheduled to begin June 10th. The McMillian case is set for July 16th.
