BET reveals the host and nominees for their Hip-Hop Awards event.
Bow Wow and Angela Simmons announced the host and nominees of this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards going down October 15th.
After the world premier of Ace Hood’s “Before The Rollie,” featuring Meek Mill, Bow Wow introduced the host as a hip-hop icon whose credentials stretch from coast to coast; Snoop Dogg.
After Snoop’s entrance they revealed the nominees for 2013′s Best Featured Verse including Diddy on “Same Damn Time Remix,”, Future on “Bugatti,” Drake on “Versace,” and more.
The next category covered the Impact Tracks which included Jay Z’s “Holy Grail,” J. Cole’s “Crooked Smile,” and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’s “Thrift Shop.”
The MVP nominees are 2 Chainz, J. Cole, Drake, Jay Z and Kendrick Lamar.
The Album Of The Year nominees are J. Cole’s Born Sinner, Jay Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail, Kendrick Lamar’s good kid m.A.A.d. city, Nas’ Life Is Good, and Wale’s The Gifted.
The Track Of The Year nominees are J. Cole for producing “Power Trip,” Noah ’40′ Shebib for producing “Problems,” Sounwave for producing “Don’t Kill My Vibe,” Mike WiLL Made It for producing “Bugatti,” and Mike Zombie & Noah ’40′ Shebib for producing “Started From The Bottom.”
The Producer Of The Year nominees are J. Cole, Hit-Boy, DJ Mustard, Mike WiLL Made It, and Pharrell Williams.
The Best Hip-Hop Video nominees are A$AP Rocky ft. Drake, 2 Chainz & Kendrick Lamar “Problem,” B.o.B. ft. T.I. & Juicy J “We Still In This B*tch,” J. Cole ft. Miguel “Power Trip,” Drake’s “Started From The Bottom,” and Kendrick Lamar’s “Don’t Kill My Vibe.”
