Transforming your archaic outlet into an extreme device charger, the ‘Bolt’ USB outlet gives your power outlet new high-tech charging ports. Designed by Jeffrey Pettit, the device was a concept design entry for the 2013 iF Design award.

Instead of the conventional two-device limit that outlets have, the ‘Bolt’ provides six USB outlets that can be used to charge all of your gadgets. From phones to tablets, most of your tech should be able to charge at once with the abundance of USB ports.

If you’re worried about the safety of your devices, you have nothing to fear since Pettit built-in mechanisms to prevent electrical overload. The device lets you know how much electricity is available so that you can accurately gauge the number of gadgets that can be charged at once.
