In the words of Florida Evans from Good Times…Why Why Why??
Last night our Season 3 affair with The Walking Dead came to an end as we lost two more of our beloved characters. Milton the Nerd and Andrea met their Zombie maker and we were all left to wonder what will happen next season. Here are our top WTH moments that made us even more eager for the return of our favorite show.
1. In the opening scene, we see the Governor brutally beats Milton for torching the pit walkers and ruining his chance for revenge. He forces Milton to gather his tools and kill Andrea. Milton turns to stab the governor which results in The Governor grabbing the knife and stabbing Milton. “You’re gonna die and you’re gonna turn, and you’re gonna tear the flesh from her bones,” he tells Milton before leaving them in the room
2. In the cell block, Michonne thanks Rick for changing his mind about turning her over to the Governor. In a weird exchange, the two share an intimate moment that made me wonder, is there a love fest brewing between bad ass Michonne and hallucinating Rick??
3. In a fit of anger, the Governor rallies of what’s left of the town and convinces them to attack the prison. Tyreese and Sasha stand up to the Governor agreeing to protect the children at the camp, but they refuse to kill living people. I think we all heart Tyreese. Even during the zombie apocalypse Tyreese maintains his morals.
4. The Governor and his crew approach the prison blowing up towers and shooting up walkers until they realize there’s no sign of Rick’s group. They decide to tear down the doors and enter the dark tombs of the prison where smoke grenades go off attracting walkers who attack the timid group. The scared towns people retreat and decide to flee the scene along with the Governor.
5. Back in the torture chamber, Milton directs Andrea to grab a pair of pliers he left behind her on the floor. As Andrea decides to slowly retrieve the pliers, Milton, who is on the verge of turning into a zombie—instructs Andrea to hurry so she can stab in the head before he attacks her.
6. Back at the prison, ‘Bad Ass Carl‘ shoots a kid running the governor left behind as he is surrendering his gun. Hershel tells Rick that Carl is changing. He just murdered his first living person.
7. An angry Governor stops his caravan of followers to question their loyalty and demands they go back and fight. The people of the town say its too dangerous and not worth their lives. The menacing Governor grabs his rifle and slaughters the entire group leaving his two flunkies Martinez and Shumpert who watch in horror.
8. Rick decides to discipline ‘Bad Ass Carl’ about the innocent shooting and he admits the boy surrendered. Carl reasons, “I couldn’t take the chance,” He points out that Lori and Merle both died because Rick didn’t seize opportunities to kill potential threats. Ouch. Carl has a point.
9. Rick decides to chase after the Governor and discover the slaughtered town people who has one lone survivor who tells what the Governor has done. They approach Woodbury ready to finish the job.
10. Milton turns into a walker as a frightened, slow moving Andrea struggles to release her self, she finally escapes and screams echo in the hallway.
11. Rick fires at the wall until he exchanges words with Tyreese who lets him in the walls. They discover Andrea bitten in the torture room and Rick gives her his gun to kill herself before she turns. As they return to the prison, Rick opens a bus full of children and older people from Woodbury who will now join the group.
