Lil Boosie is finally a free man. The rapper was recently released from a Louisiana State Penitentiary where he was locked up since 2009 stemming from drug related charges.

While in jail, he was also charged with smuggling drugs into the prison and the judge added another eight years on his four-year sentence. However, Booise was released early and the news hit the internet and like any other rapper’s release, everyone celebrated.

Boosie was expected to be released from prison on August 18, 2014 but was granted an early release. According to media sources Boosie will be on parole until 2018.
