The Rap God did it again.
According to HHD, Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2 topped the charts with 779,577 copies sold, which makes this his sixth consecutive number one album and the second largest musical debut (so far) of 2013.
The second installment of Eminem’s iconic album was projected to sell between 700,000 and 750,00 its first week, and if these numbers are correct (the final tally arrives Thursday) than the Detroit emcee surpassed the expectation.
Not bad.
Holding down the number seven spot is Drake’s “Nothing Was The Same” with 37,622 albums sold. The New Zealand pop sensation Lorde’s “Pure Heroine” sits cozy at number eight with 34,440 album sold. Miley Cyrus drops to the number 12 spot after pushing 29,638 units this week and and GQ’s Man Of The Year Justin Timberlake stays in the top 20.
Congrats to the blond emcee!
