Pope Francis, the “People’s Pope” has cemented his place in pop culture, gracing the cover of the iconic Rolling Stone magazine.
The pop culture savvy pontiff took some time off of his papal duties to grace the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.
Writer Mark Binelli’s 7,700 word story, “Pope Francis: The Times They Are A-Changing” goes “Inside the Pope’s Gentle Revolution” to explore the peoples’ fascination with the new Pope, portraying him as a PR expert, political savvy leader, and a friend to the people.
Pope Francis, who has also been named “Person of the Year” by TIME and “Man of the Year” by Vanity Fair Italia, does indeed have a much broader appeal than his predecessors, even gracing the cover The Advocate, an LGBT-focused magazine who also named him “Person of the Year” after his unprecedented statement, ”If someone is gay and seeks the Lord with good will, who am I to judge?”
