Felton certainly isn’t the first.

Fans of the New York Knicks have suffered enough this season to be honest. What looked like a potential title contenderon paper will be lucky to make the playoffs–which doesn’t seem plausible at this point–and everyone from Carmelo Anthony to Mike Woodson has had their jobs certainty questioned by the media.

Raymond Felton just added significant fuel to the fire, getting arrested late last night on gun charges after his team suffered a devastating loss at the hand of Dirk Nowitzki–who hit a shot over Carmelo Anthony at the buzzer–and the Dallas Mavs.

Unfortunately for the league, it isn’t the first time one of its players has been busted for being illegally involved with firearms, and while last night has proved to be one of the more bizarre cases–there are reports that the woman who turned in Felton’s gun to the 20th Precinct, which prompted his immediate surrender, was his wife–it certainly isn’t the first, so let’s take a moment to look back.
