The season finale of The Walking Dead left us clutching our pearls as Daryl nearly meets his demise and Rick comes face to face with Joe the enforcer. Here’s the Source.com’s most jaw dropping moments!
1. This episode opens up with Rick having a flashback to when things were good at the prison. After daydreaming about talking with Herschel, Rick, Michonne and Carl here a man screaming for help. Carl runs with his gun to defend the man but Rick holds him back. “We can’t help him,” He tells his son as they watch him get eaten alive by a pack of walkers. Is Rick the farmer obsolete and now we have our vigilante sheriff again?
2. Rick, and Michonne sit and talk around their campfire and don’t hear Joe and his crew approaching. Joe’s crew pull out guns and taunt the three group members as Daryl walks up on the two groups. Daryl insists they let them go and if they want blood, take it from him. After stating Rick and his group are good people, Joe calls him a liar and instructs his crew to ‘teach him all the way’. Wonder why does Joe’s crew seem so partial to him in their dictatorship relationship?
3. The old Rick returns and he head butts Joe while watching Carl struggle to get free from Joe’s flunky. In full flight mode, Rick takes a walker bite out of Joe’s neck and Michonne grabs the gun pointed at her killing Joe’s members. Daryl gets loose and finished the job while Rick unleashes his anger on the flunky holding Carl. Did Rick just go from the loser that the Governor pummeled back to our beloved hero?
4. The next morning after the fight, Rick and Daryl have a heart to heart after the unexpected reunion and Rick tells Daryl, “You are my brother.” Yes Rick! Is Rick Merle reincarnated?
5. As they finally approach Terminus, Michonne confides in Carl about how she lost her baby, boyfriend and friend to walkers and she shut down on life carrying her pet walkers around for protection. She informs him that Andrea, her dad and even Carl helped her come back to life. Is Michonne taking on the role as stepmother to Carl?
6. Rick decides to enter Terminus from another entrance and buries most of their guns in the woods. Upon entering, the Terminus group tells everyone to place their weapons on the floor and checks everyone out. If this is refuge, why are there only a handful of people there?
7. Rick notices a pile of bloody bones and Herschel’s watch on one of the men and Maggie’s poncho and grabs one of the men as a hostage. Daryl and Michonne draw their weapons and Rick demands to know where the man acquired the watch. Rick and his crew run from a hail of bullets and are out gunned and forced inside a dark trailer. Are the Terminus group really a pack of cannibals?
8. Inside the trailer, Rick discovers good news and bad news. The good news is the rest of the group are there. Glenn and his group are relieved to see Rick and his crew. The bad news is they are locked in a trailer. Seems like there is no help only manipulation. Did we finally learn after season 2 that the Zombie Apocalypse is every man for themselves?
