basketball, high school, Liberty Christian Prep, tacko

Growing up, I remember one Summer when I was about 14 and the ESPN GO! truck came to my school. The truck was basically an all-in-one traveling basketball mecca, with all the bells and whistles included. From video games to life-size cardboard cutouts, this thing had it all. I remember one feature of it in particular that stood out all these years, a basketball that had a shadow of Shaq’s hand on it, to show perspective of his size. I put my hand on it and it was completely engulfed, nearly disappearing. Shaq was 7’1″, I was 5’4″ at the time. This analogy is long as hell, I know, but stick with me.

Fast forward to today, I’m only 5’9″ and news just went viral of a high school kid who is 7’5″ tall! His name is Tacko Fall (yup) and some claim he is the tallest high school player in the world. The kid can grab the rim from standing under it, flat-footed. Now we’re not sure if he’ll be a star player or another Greg Oden, but time will soon tell. There’s no way you’re this tall and don’t go to the league. Checkout his highlight reel, below.

Tacko plays for Liberty Christian Prep and rocks a size 22 shoe. Kids today, man.
