Someone’s got some explaining to do…or do they?
Unless you’ve been under a rock you’ve heard of the disappearing Malaysian Airlines flight–yeah, the one that literally “disappeared” without a trace. According to the web base of the airline, the latest update isn’t much of an update at all.
Further to the statement by the Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak earlier today into the ongoing search for Flight MH370, Malaysia Airlines has shared all available information with the relevant authorities since the moment we learned that the aircraft had disappeared, in the early hours of Saturday 8th March. This includes the very first indications that MH370 may have remained airborne for several hours after contact was lost, which the Prime Minister referred to today.
That quote is taken directly from the Malaysian Airlines website.
In an interesting twist, a snapshot of what’s been determined to be an old Malaysian Airlines advertisement surfaced on the internet this weekend–aka, it was tweeted and re-tweeted ad nauseum–with some very ominous ad slogans.
Well this old Malaysia Airlines ad is rather awkward. pic.twitter.com/nTPud7sfpP

In the very rare case that this ad is actually real, it would be an all-time fail by Malaysia Airlines’ web/PR people, but there are some holes in the story. Firstly, the plane that went missing wasn’t a Boeing 777, which makes the incredulous irony associated with this “story” pretty much a moot point.
Still, how incredible would this be had it been authentic.
“Wherever you go, no one will ever know”
No kidding.
