This would be very interesting.
While Lil’ Wayne‘s upcoming album, Carter V, has been in news headlines for the better part of the past week and a half, we still have no official news from Lil’ Wayne about anything. That being said, his friends prove to be very reliable sources of information.
During his private performance at The House Of Blues in New Orleans during NBA All-Star Weekend, Drake let loose with the fact that Tha Carter V would be released on May 5th of this year, confirming everyone’s belief that Wayne would return to his Carter LP circuit after a disappointing 2013.
According to Rap-Up, at what was supposed to be a private engineering/listening session for Tha Carter V, a close friend of the engineer snapped this picture of the alleged tracklist:
It’s a rather short album compared to what we’re used to from Wayne, but the features are certainly eyebrow raising. According to the informant, each feature is “on point” and delivers “their best flow”. A lot can change between now and May 5th–if that’s even the real date–but Wayne doesn’t appear to be playing any games in 2014.
