In preparation of their 40th anniversary, Timberland Shoes is gearing up to pay homage to their greatest footwear piece the yellow/tan contraction boot. Timberland plans on releasing limited edition of the boot which will consist of 1,973 pairs. The first pair out of the pack will be released on September 25th to selected retailers. Then a new boot will be released in the following months.  Also on September 25th the Timberland company will be auctioning off  pairs #1 and #1973 of each iconic style. The proceeds from the auction will go to help the the Rainforest Alliance’s Sustainable Tourism program.
